Quality is most important. Alpuro Breeding does everything to accomplish the best quality products.

GMP
GMP stands for Good Manufacturing Practice + HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and describes a method or system of working. One of the requirements stipulated under PVE/IKB quality assurance scheme is that animal feed may only be supplied by a GMP-certified manufacturer.
Independent accredited certification bodies asses and test production plants in accordance with standardized inspection protocols and report their findings to the Product Board Animal Feed.
The SGS organization checks several times a year that Alpuro is complying with the requirements and with animal feed legislation. Within the Alpuro Group, Alpuro Breedings is of course GMP-certified.

ISO 9001
ISO is a worldwide acknowledged quality-care system.
ISO is the abbreviation for International Standards Organisation. The ISO 9000 series describes the requirements for quality care at a business level. Alpuro Breeding works according to the ISO 9001 certification-system. The Société Générale de Surveillance in Genève is the controlling authority.

ISO 14001
ISO 14001 is the internationally recognised standard for environmental management systems (EMS). It provides guidance to help managing the environmental aspects of business, products and services, taking into consideration environmental protection, pollution prevention and socio-economic needs.

HACCP
Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) is a European Directive for the food industry. The Directive is recognized worldwide and since 1 January 2000, has been compulsory for companies that produce, process, distribute or store foodstuffs. HACCP helps companies to produce foodstuffs that meet the highest standards of food safety. The system is designed to identify and prevent potential public health risks. HACCP is the quality system for monitoring food safety. It focuses on checks and preventive measures for specific biological, chemical and physical hazards. The Alpuro Group introduced HACCP at ESA and Peter's Farm back in 1998, followed by Alpuro in 2000. This means that the Alpuro Group companies are at the forefront in the European veal sector in this respect.

QS (Feed)
Traceability of the raw materials and transparency of production are important building blocks for Alpuro. In 2008 Alpuro is registered as certified QS feed producer. The Dutch GMP system of the Product Board Animal Feed (PDV) and the German QS organization also acknowledge each other's quality systems for animal feed products.
QS was established to offer the consumer quality and certainty with regard to the origin of meat and meat products. To this end, a certification scheme was set up on the basis of a vertical chain approach in combination with horizontal standards. For the meat sector, the QS system demands quality control across the entire chain, from the time of birth to slaughter and processing. Protecting the animal is another component of the system. These rules apply to both German and imported products. The QS certificate is issued by the German organization Qualität und Sicherheid GmbH.

IVI®
IVI® is a unique and innovative quality system developed by the Alpuro Group in-house. Work on devising this flexible and dynamic system began in 1993. Over the years it has grown into a leading quality system and information management system for the production of foodstuffs, such as meat.
IVI® brings together all the knowledge and experience that has been accumulated over the years in veal production. The information is uniformly input into the IVI®-Center, the electronic veal library.
The IVI®-Center is continuously accessible to all parties involved in the production of veal. Also by buyers of veal can the information in the IVI®-Center be accessed 24 hours a day. Via the IVI®-Center all the input data can be checked at any time and each phase of the production process can be fully traced.
IVI® is fully ISO 9001 certified. IVI® is the leading quality system that meets the traceability requirements of retailers and consumers. IVI® is the response to the demand for guarantees in the area of food safety.
